Platinum Window Cleaning is owned and operated by Michael Higgins who began his career in 2003 as a 21 year old living in Sydney working as a rock drummer by night and window cleaner by day.
After departing Sydney and travelling the world for a while Michael then came back to Australia finished his uni studies and became a high school music teacher for a few years.
The pull to start his own window cleaning company grew stronger though and in 2015 Platinum Window Cleaning was born.
Michael worked as a sole operator for 6 years refining his skills, building a strong client base and establishing the brand.
We now have a small team of two dedicated and well trained full time employees and thousands of happy customers across the Brisbane region.
We primarily specialise in medium/large residential & commercial properties.
You can rest assured knowing we're equipped and skilled with the latest industry technology enabling us to access even the most difficult to reach glass in a safe manner all while delivering an excellent result for you.
We can offer one time only cleans or if you require regular servicing for your property we can arrange a cost effective option that suits your needs.

1: What were your beginnings in the window cleaning trade?
Name: Jasper Irwin
Employment: Full time
Jasper began his window cleaning journey in the picturesque Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. Alongside his work, he is pursuing studies at university, balancing academic pursuits with his passion for delivering sparkling clean windows.

“2003 I finished uni studies and moved to Sydney to play in bands. My day job at that time was working for a window cleaning company. We were working on a variety of properties, everything from car yards to luxurious domestic homes on Sydney Harbour. I stayed in this job until late 2006 and in that time developed my skills working with some of the city’s best. I have great memories of that time.”
2: What were you doing before Platinum Window Cleaning?
“After travelling the world for a while, I came back to complete my teaching degree in Brisbane. I then pursued a career as a high school music teacher for a number of years.”

3: How did Platinum Window Cleaning start?
“After discovering entrepreneurship and considering it as a new career option I decided to leave teaching and began trying a number of online business ventures but with little success. Leaving my job too early was a mistake and things started to get tough, I was running out of funds and needed something to work quickly. I began offering a regular window cleaning service to local shops, it was working and my new clients were loving it so I went for it.
Within 12 months I pretty much had a full schedule with over 200 shops on my list who I approached directly plus a growing number of larger commercial and domestic properties, these clients were all finding me through word of mouth. In January 2017 after much research and thought I made the big decision to continue in this industry and expand my small solo operation into a full branded company and am now in the process of building a team.”
